Join OSM Thome as Motorman/Oiler on oil/chemical tankers trading worldwide. Work closely with the engine team to keep all machinery running safely and efficiently while gaining solid sea experience in an international fleet.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist engineers with operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries and machinery
- Carry out routine oiling, greasing and cleaning of engine room equipment
- Perform engine room watchkeeping duties as directed
- Maintain good housekeeping and safe working practices in the engine room
- Support bunkering, tank operations and emergency drills when required
- Requirements:
- Valid Motorman/Oiler (Engine Rating) certificates as per STCW
- Mandatory tanker/oil & chemical familiarization certificates
- Previous experience on tankers preferred
- Valid medical and seafarer documents, including basic safety training
- Good English communication and ability to work in a mixed-nationality crew
