Join OSM Thome as a Fitter on our bulk carriers trading worldwide. We are looking for a skilled and hands-on seafarer to carry out steel repairs and maintenance, keeping our vessels safe and in good working condition.
- Key responsibilities:
- Perform steel repairs on deck, engine room and cargo areas
- Maintain and repair pipelines, brackets, foundations and structures
- Assist with welding, cutting and grinding jobs as required
- Support engine and deck crew during maintenance and dry-dock work
- Follow safety procedures and keep work areas clean and tidy
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Fitter onboard seagoing vessels, preferably bulk carriers
- Strong welding and metal fabrication skills (arc, gas, cutting)
- Valid seafarer documents and medical certificates as per STCW
- Good English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of an international crew
