Key responsibilities
- Cut, trim and prepare all types of meat and poultry for galley use
- Ensure correct portioning according to menu and standards
- Check quality, freshness and proper storage of all meat products
- Follow food safety, hygiene and temperature control procedures
- Work closely with the galley team to support smooth meal service
Requirements
- Proven experience as a butcher, preferably on passenger vessels or ferries
- Good knowledge of meat cuts, handling and storage
- Basic understanding of galley operations and food safety rules
- Ability to work in a fast-paced shipboard environment
- Good English communication skills and readiness to work at sea
