Join OSM Thome as an Able Seafarer (AB) onboard a RORO/ROPAX vessel trading in the North Sea. You will be part of a skilled deck team, working on safe navigation, cargo operations and general seamanship on a busy and well-managed vessel.
Joining Soonest possible
Duration 8 weeks ON / 4 weeks OFF (1st Trip could be shorter)
AB - Certificate required
- Key responsibilities:
- Carry out mooring, anchoring and cargo handling duties
- Stand lookout and assist on the bridge as required
- Perform routine deck maintenance, cleaning and painting
- Operate and secure deck equipment and gear safely
- Follow all safety, security and environmental procedures
- Requirements:
- Valid AB certificate and STCW documents
- Experience on RORO/ROPAX or similar vessel preferred
- Good spoken and written English
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
- Team player with a strong safety attitude and good seamanship
