Join OSM Thome as a Mechanic on an offshore construction vessel in the USA. You will be part of the engine department, helping to keep all mechanical systems safe, reliable, and running smoothly during offshore operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Carry out daily maintenance and repair of engines, pumps, winches, cranes and other deck and engine machinery
- Assist with troubleshooting mechanical faults and support planned maintenance routines
- Follow safety procedures and permit-to-work systems at all times
- Keep tools, workshops and work areas clean, tidy and safe
- Support senior engineers during overhauls and major repairs
- Requirements:
- Proven experience as a mechanic at sea or offshore, preferably on construction or offshore support vessels
- Good knowledge of marine mechanical systems and hydraulic equipment
- Valid STCW certificates and offshore medical, as required
- Strong focus on safety, teamwork and clear communication in English
- Willingness to work in a rotation offshore in US waters and comply with all regulations
