Join OSM Thome as 3rd Officer on a crude oil tanker operating in Brazil. In this role you support safe navigation, cargo operations and deck routines, working closely with senior officers to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist bridge team with navigation, watchkeeping and ship handling
- Support cargo and ballast operations as instructed by senior officers
- Carry out safety rounds, inspections and maintenance of safety equipment
- Update charts, publications and other navigational documents
- Assist with drills, emergency procedures and onboard training
- Follow company and international regulations for tanker operations
- Requirements:
- Valid 3rd Officer CoC (STCW) with tanker endorsement for crude oil
- Experience on tankers preferred
- Valid STCW basic and advanced tanker training certificates
- Valid medical certificate and seaman’s book
- Good English communication skills
- Strong focus on safety and teamwork
