OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Cook for a crude oil tanker trading in the North Sea. In this role you will manage the galley, ensure good quality meals for all crew, and keep high standards of hygiene and safety on board.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare daily meals for crew and officers
- Manage galley stores, stock control and provisioning
- Ensure proper hygiene, cleaning and safe food handling in the galley
- Follow vessel budget and cost control for food and supplies
- Work closely with Master and Chief Officer on menus and crew welfare
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Chief Cook on tankers, preferably crude oil
- Valid seafarer documents and medical fitness certificate
- Relevant cook/culinary and food safety certificates
- Good command of English
- Strong hygiene standards and ability to work independently on board
