OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Cook for a fully pressurized LPG tanker, trading worldwide. Join our crew and take charge of the galley, providing safe, nutritious and tasty meals for everyone on board.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and prepare daily meals for crew and officers
- Ensure proper hygiene and cleanliness of galley, pantry and stores
- Manage food stocks, ordering and safe storage
- Follow all safety, health and sanitation rules
- Support shipboard drills and safety routines as required
Requirements
- Sea-going experience as Chief Cook, preferably on tankers
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
- Good knowledge of galley safety and food hygiene standards
- Ability to plan menus and manage provisions on long voyages
- Good English communication and ability to work in a mixed crew
