Join OSM Thome as Electro Technical Officer (ETO) on a bulk carrier trading worldwide. You will be responsible for safe, reliable operation and maintenance of all electrical and electronic systems on board, supporting smooth cargo and vessel operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair all electrical, electronic and automation systems, including power distribution and switchboards
- Take care of navigation, communication and cargo handling equipment
- Carry out routine inspections, testing and troubleshooting of faults
- Ensure safe operation of high-voltage systems and electrical safety on board
- Support planned maintenance system and keep technical records updated
- Requirements:
- Valid ETO CoC and all required STCW certificates
- Experience as ETO on bulk carriers or similar ocean-going vessels
- Good knowledge of marine electrical, electronic and automation systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills and safe work practices
- Good English communication skills and ability to work within an international crew
- Must be experienced ETO in Bulk carrier vessel with RT Flex engine type and crane
- Prefers with valid US Visa
