OSM Thome is looking for an experienced 3rd Officer for oil/chemical tankers trading worldwide. Sail with a professional crew, keep high safety standards, and build your tanker career with us.
- Key responsibilities:
- Stand navigational watch as OOW, ensuring safe voyage at all times
- Assist with cargo operations, including loading, discharging and tank change-over
- Monitor deck and safety equipment, including LSA/FFA and navigational gear
- Prepare and update charts and publications, passage plans and logs
- Support ISM/ISPS procedures, drills and safety meetings on board
- Assist Chief Officer with deck crew supervision and daily deck routines
- Requirements:
- Valid 3rd Officer (OOW Deck) license meeting STCW requirements
- Recent experience on oil/chemical tankers preferred
- Advanced Oil and Chemical Tanker endorsements
- Valid STCW basic and advanced safety certificates, medical and seaman’s book
- Good English communication skills, written and spoken
- Strong safety mindset and willingness to work in a multinational crew
