Join OSM Thome as an Electro Technical Officer (ETO) on oil/chemical tankers trading worldwide. You will be responsible for the safe and reliable operation of all electrical and electronic systems onboard, supporting smooth cargo and vessel operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair all electrical, electronic, and automation equipment
- Monitor and troubleshoot power generation and distribution systems
- Ensure safe operation of navigation, communication, and cargo control systems
- Carry out planned maintenance according to PMS and maker’s instructions
- Assist bridge and engine teams during cargo operations and critical maneuvers
- Keep accurate records, reports, and spare parts inventory
- Requirements:
- Valid ETO CoC and all mandatory STCW certificates
- Experience as ETO on oil/chemical tankers
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical and automation systems
- Good command of English, spoken and written
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
- Team player with a strong safety and compliance mindset
