Information about the job:

  • Job Title: Commissioning Mechanical & rotating Machinery Superintendent.
  • Projects: Onshore.
  • Location: Indonesia.
  • Rotation: 90/16 days on/off or 75/21 days on/off.
  • Salary: Please state your realistic expected monthly wage when applying. This will be discussed with the right candidate
  • Start date: ASAP.

Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

  • Proven experience in managing and supervising mechanical works in large-scale construction or industrial projects
  • Strong understanding of multidisciplinary project interfaces and coordination with engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and best practices in construction and maintenance environments.
  • Familiarity with commissioning, start-up, and test run processes.
  • Competence in planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
  • Hands-on experience with preventive, condition-based, and corrective maintenance practices.
  • Ability to manage subcontractors, vendors, and in-house teams effectively.
  • Skilled in permit-to-work systems and mechanical isolation procedures.
  • Strong leadership and training capabilities for team development.
  • Analytical mindset for optimizing maintenance strategies, manpower, and spare parts usage.
  • Proficiency in English.

Tasks:

  • Supervise and coordinate mechanical works, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications
  • Monitor availability of materials, equipment, and labor for scheduled tasks.
  • Ensure all activities follow HSE guidelines and participate in safety inspections.
  • Support commissioning and start-up, reviewing engineering documents and vendor schedules.
  • Track project progress and prepare reports on assigned scope.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance routines, assign resources, and oversee execution.
  • Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance through team oversight.
  • Approve work orders and enforce mechanical isolation procedures.
  • Train and guide personnel, addressing skill gaps and development needs.
  • Optimize maintenance strategies, manpower, and spare parts based on operational feedback.
