Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:
- Proven experience in electrical commissioning, start-up, and maintenance activities.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, industry standards, and compliance procedures.
- Ability to supervise and coordinate electrical teams and subcontractors effectively.
- Leadership skills to mentor team members and promote a safety-first culture.
- Competence in identifying skills gaps and supporting professional development of staff.
- Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance planning and execution.
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems and technical reporting.
- Problem-solving mindset for operational challenges and potential equipment risks.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English.
Tasks:
- Conduct safety inspections, report incidents, and assist in investigations.
- Approve and monitor work permits during operational shifts.
- Identify hazards, report risks, and implement preventative measures.
- Supervise pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up procedures.
- Collaborate with vendors and specialists to complete tasks.
- Coordinate electrical operations with other plant areas.
- Prepare and submit maintenance reports with accurate technical documentation.
- Manage spare parts logistics for maintenance operations.
- Monitor progress of maintenance work and resolve operational challenges.
- Ensure proper handover documentation between shifts and teams.
- Maintain records of modification or improvement requests.
- Propose solutions to prevent maintenance backlogs.
- Anticipate potential operational issues to ensure efficient plant performance.
- Organize work schedules and rotation for team members.
- Identify training needs and request necessary programs.
- Conduct performance appraisals and competency assessments.
- Set expectations, coach, and mentor team members on professional conduct.
- Ensure team compliance with safety regulations and take corrective action if needed.
- Implement controls to minimize hazards and operational risks.
- Monitor and evaluate work practices for safety compliance.
