Information about the job:
- Job Title: Vessel Operations Engineer.
- Projects: Onshore with the possibility to transfer offshore when needed.
- Location: Amaad, Saudi Arabia.
- Rotation: Whilst Onshore: 91/16 days on/off. Whilst Offshore: 90/30 days on/off.
- Contract: 12 months (renewable).
- Salary: Whilst Onshore: USD 4,000 Monthly (when provided rotation and working schedule are respected), even while on leave (amount is in your bank account), Whilst Offshore: USD 4,922 Monthly (when provided rotation and working schedule are respected), even while on leave (amount is in your bank account).
- Overtime: Whilst Onshore: USD 22.00 per every extra hour worked beyond above mentioned working hours per day, Whilst Offshore: USD 26.40 per every extra hour worked beyond above mentioned working hours per day.
- Start date: ASAP.
- Insurances: Provided by the company.

Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:
- Engineering background with approximately 5 years of professional experience.
- Proven hands-on exposure to vessel mobilization, demobilization, and associated documentation.
- Offshore project experience considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with QA/QC and HSE management systems in marine or offshore projects.
- Ability to review, challenge, and improve technical and operational documentation.
- Experience working with installation vessels and construction yards.
- Strong coordination skills across engineering, operations, and asset teams.
- Comfortable interfacing with clients, subcontractors, and third-party contractors.
- Capable of identifying operational risks, inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Tasks:
- Examine project and tender documentation, identifying inconsistencies, gaps, or impractical solutions.
- Provide operational input to support safe, efficient execution during planning and delivery phases.
- Interface with vessel crews, onshore teams, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Track offshore progress and vessel productivity, advising on potential impacts to execution plans.
- Support onboard activities during critical operations and preparation phases.
- Assist with planning and execution of offshore works including installation, diving, trenching, hook-up, and pre/post-commissioning.
- Review transport, loadout, and securing arrangements to confirm readiness for offshore deployment.
- Verify availability and readiness of materials, consumables, equipment, and specialist resources.
- Participate in risk identification activities and ensure mitigation actions are followed.
- Identify procedural deviations and support corrective or optimization measures.
- Record operational changes and support technical input for contractual or commercial follow-up.
- Compile and contribute to lessons learned, offshore debriefs, and project close-out documentation.
